AKURE, August 2021—Northwest Petroleum & Gas has increased petrol product distribution in Akure with the opening of a 14 Nozzle Ultra-modern Mega station along New Akure-Ife road, the Ondo state capital. Sitting on a 6,000sqm expanse of land, the magnificent structure is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities: Wayne’s highest model Helix 4000 pumps with 14 nozzles dispensing fuel. High points of the opening ceremony, which was graced by dignitaries from within and outside Ondo State, included the blessing and commissioning of the station. The station was blessed by His Lordship, Bishop Jude Ayodeji Arogundade (Bishop of Ondo Diocese) and commissioned by His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN. Speaking at the event, the Governor commended the management of Northwest Petroleum for a job well done, for the ambience and standard of the retail station. The retail station which began full operation immediately after the commissioning is poised to boost petrol products distribution by servicing domestic demands as well as commercial vehicles plying the axis and also create jobs for at least 50 fresh graduates. This is in line with company’s commitment to increase her capacity to help meet daily energy consumption and demand.
